Effective immediately, the Patent Office will no longer respond to applicant or agent letters (including pending requests) inquiring when a particular application will be examined. For information relating to service standards visit the Client Service Standards webpage or call the Client Service Centre at 1-866-997-1936.

Status of a patent request

The Patent Office will continue to process requests to provide information concerning the status of a patent application or patent, provided that the prescribed fee is paid for each application or patent. The Patent Document Order Form is available online.
