Maintenance Fees payment system update

Improvements have been made to the online Electronic Payment of Patent Maintenance Fees system.

As of March 19, 2012, clients will be able to:

• Pay the maintenance fees on more than 2 000 applications / patents in one transaction.
• Obtain a detailed report on discrepancies outlining where the amount paid by the client differs from the amount due to CIPO.

Note:

• The maximum payment amount for maintenance fee transactions made by credit card is $99,999.00 and is unlimited when using CIPO's deposit account.
• Hours of operation for this e-service are: Monday to Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., EST; and Saturday noon to 5:00 p.m., EST
