How can a patent agent who is registered in a foreign country have his name placed on the Patent Agents Register?

Paragraph 15(b) of the Patent Rules provides that the Commissioner shall enter on the register of patent agents, on payment of the appropriate fee (see item 33 of Schedule II), the name of any resident of a country other than Canada who is registered and in good standing with the patent office of that country.

The requester must provide an agent certificate in good standing from the patent office of that country, dated no later than 3 months from the date of the letter.
