What is the time frame to complete an application?
In all cases of incomplete applications, the Office will make every effort to inform the applicant of the reasons for non-compliance by means of a courtesy letter. The letter will specify a time limit prior to which the application can be completed without penalty.
If your application is still incomplete after the first time limit, you will be notified by the Patent Office, and you will have to complete the application within a certain amount of time as well as pay a completion fee (see Item 2 of the Schedule II).
