Where the certified copy of the foreign registration contains a statement to the effect that the characters in the certified copy (letters and numbers) are considered as being standard, and also contains a statement to the effect that there is no claim to any particular font style, size, or colour, the examiner will accept the certified copy in support of the applicant's claim made pursuant to subsection 16(2) of the Trade-marks Act in respect of an application for a word mark that is in all capital letters in the Canadian application.
