Consultation and Discussion

As part of the Canadian Intellectual Property Office's (CIPO) commitment to provide quality and timely intellectual property rights, the Trade-marks Office requests your participation in a consultation on the processing of applications containing incomplete 16(2) claims.

For more information, your attention is directed to the following proposed practice notice entitled Use and Registration Abroad (s. 16(2) Trade-marks Act)

All comments submitted will be reviewed and taken into consideration prior to being posted on our website following the consultation period. Your comments are appreciated and will add value to the process of finalizing our practice notice. Please note that all comments will be kept online for three (3) months from the date of posting.
