Effective immediately, practice notices will no longer be published in the Trade–marks Journal. New practice notices will be published only on the CIPO website under "Practice Notices" and will be considered to be effective as of the date on which the Practice Notice is published, unless otherwise specifically indicated in the Practice Notice.
This notice is intended to provide guidance on current Trade–marks Office practice and interpretation of relevant legislation. However, in the event of any inconsistency between this notice and the applicable legislation, the legislation must be followed.
