Assembling your patent application
Congratulations! You've finished writing your patent application. You can now assemble it in the following order:
- Petition
- Abstract
- Description
- Claims
- Drawings
You might like to check the page numbering. It should begin with the first page of the description and finish on the last page of the claims. The drawing pages are not numbered.
Once you have proofread your document and are satisfied that it is complete, you can send your application to:
Commissioner of Patents
Canadian Intellectual Property Office
Place de Portage I
