- CIPO-USPTO PPH agreement to be made indeterminate
[2011-01-18] Due to the success of the Patent Prosecution Highway (PPH) pilot project between the Canadian Intellectual Property Office (CIPO) and the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), effective January 29, 2011, this PPH pilot project will be replaced by a PPH agreement for an indeterminate period. The requirements and procedures of this agreement remain the same.
- PCT-PPH (CIPO ISA/IPEA) Pilot Project
[2011-01-05] The Canadian Intellectual Property Office (CIPO) is launching a new Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) - Patent Prosecution Highway (PPH) pilot project (commencing on January 31, 2011, for a period of 2 years). As with other PPH initiatives, the pilot project will allow applicants to obtain patents faster and more efficiently. This pilot is based on PCT work products established by CIPO as the International Searching Authority (ISA) and/or the International Preliminary Examining Authority (IPEA).
