Administers the Plant Breeders' Rights Act and Regulations that provide legal protection for up to 18 years to plant breeders for new plant varieties.
Centre for Intellectual Property Policy (CIPP)
The CIPP's mission is to advance research and policy formation of intellectual property and innovation systems.
Copyright Policy Branch (Department of Canadian Heritage)

Library and Archives Canada: Legal Deposit
Legal deposit is the means by which a comprehensive national collection is gathered together as a record of the nation's published heritage and development.
Copyright Board of Canada
An economic regulatory body empowered to establish the royalties to be paid for the use of copyright works when the administration of such copyright is entrusted to a collective-administration society. The Copyright Board also supervises agreements between users and licensing bodies and issues licences when the copyright owner cannot be located.
Patented Medicine Prices Review Board
An independent quasi-judicial body that contributes to Canadian health care. The Board's regulatory function ensures that prices charged by patentees for patented medicines sold in Canada are not excessive.
